This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

Local Storage

• Your stories, photos, and travel data are primarily stored locally on your device

• Optional cloud backup features (when available) will be clearly marked

Third-Party Services

• AI Services: OpenAI for story generation (no PII shared, server-side only, no data retention)
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics (user IDs hashed, PII stripped, minimal properties)

You have the right to:

• Delete your account and associated data

Account and Data Deletion

How to Delete Your Account

You have the right to delete your Argo AI account and all associated data at any time. To delete your account:

1. Open the Argo AI mobile app
2. Tap the menu icon to open Settings
3. Scroll down to the Account section
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Type "DELETE" to confirm (case-insensitive)
6. Tap the red Delete Account button

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you delete your account, the following occurs:

• Immediate deletion: Your account access is immediately revoked and you are signed out
• Data removed from servers and your device:
  • Your account and profile information
  • All stories and drafts
  • All memories and facts
  • All recorded audio
  • All photos and media
  • All travel books and locations
  • All app settings and preferences
• Timeline:
  • Server data is deleted immediately when you confirm deletion
  • Local device data is cleared immediately
  • Your account becomes inaccessible instantly
• Cannot be undone: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
• Re-authentication required: After deletion, you'll be redirected to the sign-in screen

Data We May Retain

After account deletion, we may retain certain information only as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Anonymized analytics data (with no personal identifiers)
• Transaction records for accounting and tax purposes (as required by law)
• Records necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our terms of service

Important Note for iOS Users

If you have an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store:

• Deleting your account does NOT cancel your App Store subscription
• You must cancel your subscription separately in iOS Settings:
  1. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  2. Find Argo AI (or Memory Evolution)
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription
• The app will remind you about this when you delete your account

Alternative: Account Deactivation

If you're unsure about permanently deleting your account, you can:

• Sign out of the app to stop using the service temporarily

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

Regional Privacy Rights

For US State Residents

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia have specific privacy rights under state law. While the specifics vary by state, you generally have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
• Access your personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information to anybody)
• Opt-out of targeted advertising (we do not engage in targeted advertising or any advertising at all)

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
